Donkey Milk, bio or not bio ?

It’s a good question. The answer is, “Yes - and no” !

• L’Anerie, where the donkeys we milk are reared, is located on meadowland where no fertilisers are used;
• The donkeys only eat natural food;
• Any donkey that has received medication is removed from milking;
• ...

These factors, proof of “organic” rearing, do not, however, automatically mean that ORGANIC status can be claimed, for the simple reason that it is impossible to find certified organic donkeys on the market. For a breeder to have organic certification, his animals must be from organic farms and certified as such. This is why we cannot label Naturane products organic.
