The Milking Process
Unlike cows, a donkey will only produce milk if it has a foal with it.
If the foal died, it would stop producing milk immediately.
A donkey produces an average of 2.5 liters of milk per day. For each milking only an amount between 50 and 100 cL is taken, as to preserve enough milk for the foal.
The foal and mother are separated at night, and the milking is done in the morning. Following the milking process, foals are reunited with their mothers.
The milking begins 2 months after the foal is born (to ensure that it can eat food supplements) until it is 11 months old.

Traceability:
As all the milk used for the cosmetics comes from our own farm, we can guarantee exemplary traceability. We are able to trace back to the names of each donkey whose milk contributed to the manufacturing of our products.
Natural:
We guarantee that our milk is as natural as possible.
Our animals are treated in the best possible way thanks to aromatherapy, and they are fed with fodder that comes from meadows that are not treated with chemical fertilizer.
How to calculate the donkey milk percentage in our products:
As you can see in the technical folders, our products contain between 5 to 30% donkey milk.
This percentage is always calculated as a liquid equivalent.
To use the least amount of preservatives, we work with dehydrated milk, which is a powder that is not only more stable but it is also subject to less bacterial variations.
We blend this powder into our products (1 L of milk = 100 g of powder).
